Dr. David M. Collard is a Professor in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry, and Associate Dean in the College of Sciences. His research interests in polymer chemistry include characterization of the influence of π-stacking on the electronic properties of conjugated materials, and the synthesis of new functional copolymers and thin films for bioengineering applications. His research program includes extensive collaborations with teams in the Schools of Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Professor Collard received his B.Sc. from the University of East Anglia in Norwich, U.K., and his Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
